An antique gold lightsaber hilt with black accents. It was a piece of bent steel pipe that came from a rollbar cage with a few bits and bobs that came from some jet tubing, electrical tape on the hand hold. The built up parts are sculpted from miliput and cardboard and the whole thing's been given a coat of antique gold paint, gloss black, and several layers of clear coat.

And I don't know how well it can be seen but the Jedi Code has been carved onto the emitter shroud.

Absolutely beautiful it looks like it should be in a museum!

I'll have to agree that this design of lightsaber could be more akin to the Sith or even to the Jedi of the Old Republic/pre-Ruusan era (that one guy, Valentine Farfalla, who looked like a pretty-boy satyr from the "Jedi vs Sith" mini-series, comes to mind), when the Jedi seemed to wear fancy armor and clothes. I'm wondering if this could've been Darth Caedus' lightsaber from "Legacy of the Force"? Jacen Solo had a vision of a Sith with a gold and black 'saber, so this could be it. In any case, yeah it is a cool design.

Maybe. Never seen "Legacy of the Force" or really heard of Jacen Solo, though. Most everything I think up for Jedi is very much colored by the Old Republic style rather than the more generic, cookie-cutter look of the newer Jedi. I just can't help it. :)

To be honest, it looks more like a Sith lightsaber (from me, that's a compliment.). Look at the prequels... the Sith just have classier lightsabers. Duku, Maul, Sidious... all very cool designs, designs with personality. Me, I think it's because the Jedi don't realy encourage individuality, and it shows in their lightsabers.

Hm, yes the newer prequel sabers are rather generic looking. Still, there are some Jedi whose sabers stand out from the crowd.
The Dark Woman (Lady?) immediately comes to mind.

Yeah, she had a kick-ass lightsaber.

But, as I recall, she was a rebel, even more so than even Qui Gon. She struck me as half-way to the Sith point of veiw.

And there was that comic book fellow, Robilo D'arte, who had a forked saber.

I thought her point of view was closer to what Luke eventually espoused. More balanced, light and dark together, that sort of thing.
Maybe.

Exactly. A far more healthy sort of attitude than the mindless placidity and lack of emtions that the Jedi espoused.

Well, I wouldn't call it a lack of emotions. Rigid control certainly, not necessarily total elimination. They kind of remind me of Vulcans in that regard. But, yeah, not an overly healthy thing to do all the time.
